Bear Creek is a two bedroom, one bath log cabin that was hand-crafted by local builder and stone mason Howie Suttles. This gorgeous cabin has custom slate floors, stacked stone wood burning fireplace, open floor plan, and sits right on a stocked trout creek. The fully equipped kitchen, charcoal grill, and ample dining space allows for plenty of dining options right at the comfort of your cabin. Stay inside and unwind by the fireplace while watching television with Direct TV, roast marshmallows by the fire pit, take a dip in the hot tub, or fish right in your own back yard. This cabin truly is the ideal mountain getaway!
This wonderful cabin is located within walking distance to the Smoky Mountain Country Club, the area's premier, mountain golf course. It is within a 10 minute drive to Cherokee, NC where you can enjoy immersing in the culture of the Cherokee Indian Reservation, you'll find the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, or enjoy the restaurants and nightlife of Harrah's Cherokee Casino. You are also about a 10 minute drive to downtown Bryson City, the home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, plenty of delicious dining options, and boutique shops. If you're looking for more adrenaline pumping outdoor adventures, take about a 30 minute drive to the Nantahala River Gorge where you'll find plenty of options for whitewater rafting, kayaking, zip lining, and horseback riding.

We enjoyed it immensely! It was our first experience in renting a mountain cabin, but it was always something we wanted to do. Especially during these COVID times when youre apprehensive about venturing out, this cabin provided us with the perfect opportunity to travel somewhere safe, where we could just enjoy nature, take trail walks, and just enjoy the warmth and coziness of this wonderful little cabin. It was perfect, and we will be back!

Our stay was as peaceful and beautiful as it gets. Sitting on the porch with the creek directly running in front of porch along with watching the cows graze was heaven sent. There was ABSOLUTELY no smell from the cows. Our stay included some really hot days still no smell.
