Perfect size and location for our family of 5.

I just cannot say enough wonderful things about our family experience. We had decided before we drove away that this was something we would do again. After we arrived back in VA, we realized a set of wedding rings had been misplaced. Danielle was caring about our concern and the housekeeper, Becky made every effort to find them. Honest, helpful and the perfect place to stay for a family train ride.

I only hesitate to write such a glowing recommendation because someone may book it next year before us. FYI-- this is grandparents treating our children and grandchildren for an early Christmas treat and this was perfect.

Very professional and prompt

The stay at the Broken Twig was truly magical for my children (and us). We spent the weekend for a mountain getaway and Polar Express trip. The children fell in love with the cabin immediately, as it was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had everything we needed. An excellent weekend away, thank you!

Easy no hassles

Perfect stay!!! Exceeded our expectations! The only thing I would suggest is to add more lighting out at the hot tub. Extremely hard to see at night,

Reservation team was easy to work with. Called and got an extra hour before checking out because of no turnover coming in.

Property was great again! Rained again like last year, but that just made it more relaxing in the hot tub with the tin roof. * It would be nice if the owners of the properties on Fernwood would join forces and re-gravel the road. Lots of ruts and holes and humps.

I overlooked that it didn't have wifi - but we were able to use our hotspots just fine. Property was well equipped for anything you could possibly need. We had a wonderful stay!

The cabin was exactly what our family needed. Nestled high on the mountainside, we were up and away from everything. It was quiet and so much fun!

The Property is beautiful and cozy. I love the babbling brook running through the back yard. It was easily accessible and close to all excursions for us.

We did not want to leave. My boyfriend doesnt like vacationing in the mountains, he too did not want to leave.
