Alarka Highlands Bungalow is the perfect cabin for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, or anyone seeking peace and solitude. This beautiful cabin sits in a cove cove all by itself giving you the privacy and seclusion you need. A unique feature of this property is that is located right by a mountain stream with it's own private waterfall. You can easily enjoy it's beauty up close by using the private walking path. If you'd prefer to admire the beauty from afar, it can be seen and heard from on the Bungalow's expansive deck, hot tub, and lovely fire pit area. If you prefer the comfort of the indoors, the cabin features many large windows that help bring the beauty of the outdoors in. Cast your worries aside, this cabin offers the tranquility that you need.
Alarka Highlands Bungalow is located in the high elevation, gated Alarka Highlands Community. All cabins located in this community are high-end luxury cabins. For guests' entertainment there is a clubhouse with tennis courts. The private nature of the property also allows for nice hikes and views throughout. Alarka Highlands is located about 15 miles from Bryson City, which is about a 30 minute drive. In the area you will find plenty of venues for entertainment and adventure including: The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Deep Creek Community, Nantahala River Gorge, Tsali Biking, Fontana Lake. Whether you are looking for hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking, ziplining, cruising, swimming, fishing, boating, or simply relaxing you are bound to find all that you are looking for in beautiful Bryson City.

The Bungalow is located in Alarka Highlands, which is a high elevation community. The main roads into the community, while paved the majority of the way, are very steep and curvy. The secondary roads and driveways in Alarka Highlands are gravel. If you are uncomfortable with driving mountainous roads or have a low profile vehicle, please give us a call so that we can advise you through the reservation process.

My husband and I loved the bungalow and our own private waterfall. It was so soothing just sitting out on the porch and listening to the creek run by. The Alarka area is absolutely beautiful. If you follow the road up past the Bungalow you reach an incredible overlook! There is also a trail that you can hike along as well. We cannot wait to come back to this area and enjoy the scenery. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in the fall!

The bungalow had everything you could need & was very nice & clean.Privacy & seclusion were added bonus for us! Gorgeous property with it's own waterfall you could hear outside while enjoying the lovely deck & hot tub area. About 30 minutes from town & grocery stores etc. Cell service was pretty much non existent which was actually nice for us. Would definitely book the Bungalow again when in the area.

The cabin was wonderful. Just peace and quiet. The waterfall was a bonus, just a very very short walk down to it to enjoy. It was so nice to get away for a few days from the busy city life and just enjoy the peacefulness.

My husband and i got married a week ago and stayed 5 days at the bungelow. I cant stress enough how relaxing it was. As someone who is constantly working from a computer and planning a wedding from their phone, it was so nice to have no service.
