This cozy little cabin is just a few feet away from the fully stocked Alarka Creek. Enjoy your time on the back porch from the rocking chairs or hot tub while looking and listening to the calming sounds of the creek. You may enjoy an evening campfire in the fire pit located just feet away from the creek, or cook your family meal on a charcoal grill. For family use there is a 12’ X 12’ gazebo, a two person Hammock adjacent the creek for afternoon relaxing ; there is also a variety of games supplied in an outdoor box for your family enjoyment. This fully stocked creek supplies family entertainment for the avid fisherman or novice. The creek is also perfect for wading or just cooling off.
Our cozy little cabin is only 6.5 miles from Bryson City and the unique dining and shopping experiences available in this quaint little town. For those seeking family adventure, close by is the world famous Nantahala River where the whole family can go rafting, kayaking, tubing or zip lining. Also, you may choose to explore the area by going hiking, biking, or horseback riding on the many trails open to you. You may choose to take a relaxing ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad or rent a boat on the beautiful Lake Fontana. You may enjoy yourself by driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway or explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or walk the Appalachia Trail. These are just some of your choices available to you, or you may decide to explore Harrah’s Casino, or other adventures available nearby. We made wonderful memories during our stay! The location is private and right next to a flowing creek. The cabin is stocked with everything you need to cook, make coffee, laundry etc. - the hosts thought of everything! We made one trip to the nearby grocery store were stocked up for our stay. Our five year old can't wait to return to "our cabin" - and neither can we!

We have stayed at Alarka Creek Retreat multiple times. The owners of the cabin have made some great updates to the cabin, with everything you need at hand. Everytime we go, something new has been added, such as a hammock, brand new washer and dryer, propane fire place and bathroom sink. It is a very cozy cabin and is perfectly located to downtown Bryson City.

COVID caused us to have to reschedule our trip from the spring. One phone call is all it took to move our reservation. Friendly understanding staff who made it painless. Would highly recommend on this alone. The cabin was exactly as pictures and described. Couldnt ask for anything more.

We enjoyed the cabin very much and the fact it was pet friendly made it even better. Being able to catch trout right in back of the cabin was a thrill. We made full use of the double hammock, fire pit and grill. And the games in the storage we're a nice addition. We'll definitely use your services in future trips.

I love, love, love this cabin! We knew exactly what to bring with us the second time around, and spent almost all our time at the cabin. We were here with the another couple. The property was beautiful and peaceful. Loved walking out the backdoor and being creek front that was trout stocked. The Cabin itself was amazing. Enjoyed the fire pit. Indoor and outdoor games were provided. But just sitting on the rocking chairs on the back porch or in the hot tub listening to nature was very calming. It gave us a kind of a reset with everything happening in the world now. We are already planning on taking our family back before the end of summer.

This was my dream rental! Every aspect was perfect, it was just zen. The river was so soothing we slept with the door open so we could enjoy. Our dog thought she was in pet heaven. I have never felt so relaxed and we have rented cabins all over the US. I am ambivalent about writing this review because I want to keep this place all to myself!
