This cozy little cabin is just a few feet away from the fully stocked Alarka Creek. Enjoy your time on the back porch from the rocking chairs or hot tub while looking and listening to the calming sounds of the creek. You may enjoy an evening campfire in the fire pit located just feet away from the creek, or cook your family meal on a charcoal grill. For family use there is a 12’ X 16’ tent platform to support putting up a tent for the kids or family to enjoy the outdoor camping experience, a two person Hammock adjacent the creek for afternoon relaxing ; there is also a variety of games supplied in an outdoor box for your family enjoyment. This fully stocked creek supplies family entertainment for the avid fisherman or novice. The creek is also perfect for wading or just cooling off.
Our cozy little cabin is only 6.5 miles from Bryson City and the unique dining and shopping experiences available in this quaint little town. For those seeking family adventure, close by is the world famous Nantahala River where the whole family can go rafting, kayaking, tubing or zip lining. Also, you may choose to explore the area by going hiking, biking, or horseback riding on the many trails open to you. You may choose to take a relaxing ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad or rent a boat on the beautiful Lake Fontana. You may enjoy yourself by driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway or explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or walk the Appalachia Trail. These are just some of your choices available to you, or you may decide to explore Harrah’s Casino, or other adventures available nearby. I know it's hard to judge some things by pictures but for the most part the cabin was exactly as it appeared on the web site except for the view from the creek. The staff was great during booking and I did not have to contact anyone while we stayed there but I'm sure they would have been helpful then, as well.

This was the perfect weekend get away for our first anniversary. The cabin provided a romantic secluded area nestled right in the NC mountains. Beautiful scenery with a creek running right beside the cabin. The cabin was very neat, clean, and well maintained. The location was perfect- we had the privacy we needed but we're close to the Bryson City shops, restaurants, and attractions. Can't wait to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay in Alarka. It was perfect:) The moment we drove up and saw that it looked just like the pictures we knew we had chosen the right cabin for us. Our Great Dane Midas enjoyed the large open field and lounging on the front porch. We enjoyed watching and listening to the creek roll by, while relaxing in the hot tub. The creek offered loads of fun for all, perfect for wading. The cabin itself was cozy and inviting. The cabin only fifteen minutes from Bryson made it very convenient to see the local sites. A perfect place for a weekend get away, we just wished we could have stayed longer.

My stay in Alarka creek #1 was beautiful! Amazing views and a wonderful property, the kitchen was just enough and the living room was comfy! Our bedroom was nice and the bed was soft, I did notice however there was a lot of dust around the frame of the bed. I loved the back porch, its very relaxing to sit in the rocking chairs and listen to Alarka creek run by. The hot tub is extremely perfect for the chilly weather but upon arrival it was cold and took 24 hours to heat up.
BCCR: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. I will get with our cleaning staff ASAP and make sure they take care of the dust immediately and thank you for letting us know. I hope you stay with us again soon.

The only negative was that the mattresses had a really loud creaking sound every time you shifted or got in and out of the bed. This woke my wife up every time I moved.
